And speaking of my wife, for our 4 year anniversary she bought me my badge for New York Anime Festival, which was the first time I ever went to an anime convention. I miss NYAF and I refuse to go to a ReedPOP convention because they have proven over and over and over and over and over again that they simply do not care about anything beyond money and fame. If you want proof, look up how "Cosplay Is Not Consent" became a standard disclaimer at cons.

So what anime cons do I go to? Anime NYC? Nope. The Jacob Javits Convention Center treats convention attendees like absolute shit. I try to take my money over 800 miles due west to Rosemont, IL in the middle of May when I can afford to do so for Anime Central. I think of going to that event as my financial "northern star." I don't like talking about work. Despite some of my toots and boosts I'm not in the cybersecurity field, but I do like tech. long thread/5
