@TechTangents@dialup.space in 1989/1990 there was PC-Draft CAD at least in Germany. We used it with 286/386/486 with a 20“ CRT on a special Card, a Hercules as second screen for text and later a VGA for an overview picture. It was 2D but my collegues built big machines (5m length) with it. They had macros for automated construction of details which run a weekend on a 386 and one night on a 486/25.
