I refuse to see the ending of Good Omens Season 3 as a canon ending. You tell me 2 interdimendional, canonly nonbinary beings who have been in a complicated companionship for near 6000 years, basically the slowest of slow burns in fiction, They sacrifice themself only to be reincarnated as 2 human cis men?? Idk, they are not the same. Some part of their queer identity gets erased as part of this reincarnation. It's assimilation. This is not how you write queer characters. Also they never know what they have been through together because they have no memories. They are not the same aziraphale and crowley. This is not a happy ending, this is not it. I am sorry to say but this ending was simply a gutpunch / joke from the author bc he is an asshole.
