update from the local discord that fractured when discord did Things People Didn't Like earlier this year: discord is still the main space where most people hang out. some people just outright left the community because everyone (me included) dragged their feet setting up alternatives i am the admin of the matrix side and the matrix-to-discord bridge. a few of us use it, we expect discord to try again at some point and push most of the rest over the fluxer side kinda just split off into their own isolated community, but is finally getting around to setting up bridging with us, and they chose to bridge into discord instead of matrix. this is not the choice i would have made, considering the whole reason we're doing any of this in the first place, but whatever, it's fixable later when it becomes a problem i guess today i was curious whether the two bridge bots would bridge messages from each other through discord, so i tried bridging matrix into their fluxer testing channel. result: lol no you can't have two bridges in one discord channel
