Movim "API" is XMPP, Mastodon API is Mastodon API, developped by Mastodon and for Mastodon. Only the servers to servers interactions are standardized and specified in ActivityPub.

@movim indeed an important conversation we need to have in fedispace (And I'm excited to see social features from Movim spreading to other clients like #MonoclesChat and beyond too!)
