A lot of kiwi writers are keen to leave SS, for the same reasons David Farrier did with @webworm, and I did with @disintermedia.net.nz, inspired by his pieces about it. I suspect others could be convinced too. But some I've talked to find the pricing model of Ghost.org intimidating.
I think there's an opportunity there for @magnificent@social.magnificent.nz to fill the gap. I wonder if @lightweight@mastodon.nzoss.nz and @isaacfreeman@cloudisland.nz have decided on a pricing model for hosting Ghost newsletters here in Aotearoa?

@strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz It's on our list. We didn't originally plan to do website hosting, but we're hearing that it's something a lot of people need. The work to do is really to articulate which platforms are good for which jobs. I'm personally a fan of Drupal for many jobs, but it has a learning curve that's not going to work for most people. @webworm @disintermedia.net.nz @magnificent@social.magnificent.nz @lightweight@mastodon.nzoss.nz
