I'm seeing a bunch of sensational news headlines related to the Kentucky Derby, and every one I've read so far has been incredibly misleading.
A handful say things along the lines of "Kentucky Derby winning jockey loses most of his winnings right after race", and the story actually basically says "the winning jockey gets a certain percentage of the purse, but then they have to pay their employees, taxes, etc., so they're left with a much smaller payday"

Another batch says something like "Kentucky Derby winner has title stripped immediately after race", and then when you click the link, it's actually a story about a Kentucky Derby years ago where the winner committed a foul during the race, so, even though the finished 1st, they got last place. Another batch is about a horse that was euthanized after the race, because it broke 2 of its legs, but that's a story from 2008.
