This chapter with Brandon Sanderson of all people (we are both Mormon you see and we're not supposed to or known for swearing) will tell you why it's important not to be a dick, and the hilarious thing is that "Do not be a dick" is a commandment of sorts in this Cosmere world. Love it, a lot.
