@pluralistic@mamot.fr It's too bad that we've already used the term 'daemon' in software to describe a long running background service that runs in a loop to quietly do things in the background. The name is perfect as it is used, but... It would be nice to still have it available to refer to ai agents. Just a hope that some deep rooted societal prejudice might make some people more suspect of the output from prompts if we called them 'demons'. Could we, maybe, start calling them 'the infected'?
