@jschwart@mas.to @broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca To the point that a doctor who pioneered hand-washing, Ignaz Semmelweis, was eventually driven to a nervous breakdown by the rejection and ridicule of other doctors, all highly offended at his suggestion that they were causing the deaths of patients. He was shipped off to an asylum and died.
