Not that you ever have anything figured out, but 9/11 happening when I was 24 years old was certainly a pivotal time, coming when I was settling in to an adult, working life. The appalling political aftermath galvanized my views on a lot of things & was the true boundary between the 20th and 21st centuries. Living & working adjacent to NYC, then moving to DC within the next couple years, felt like a front row seat to much of it. IDK what the point of this post is other than all the feels. 💜
