@mathias@metalhead.club Reading it out loud to yourself in a mirror or to someone you trust. You can find little things that don't flow right or don't come across like you would have hoped.
Analyzing someone else's work by looking up lyrics as you're listening to stuff you like can be beneficial too for working out theme and pacing.

@lich_silvae@masto.fediverse.games other advice I got elsewhere was to try removing all the “I”, “me” etc and then rewriting so the situational details (senses, place) are clear but the meanings are more open to interpretation. It sounds cool, I just gotta figure out what this means for my situation.
