@esantiestevan@turtleisland.social Just to check my perception I recently compared the year entries on wikipedia for a year I was a teenager (1990) with 2025, a year my kids are teenagers. I can really recommend going back to 1990... Somehow we took a wrong turn in the years between.

@lilo@muenster.im I’d say we made a wrong turn at the Hayes-Tilden Compromise, and underestimating post-Goldwater Republicans.
