Yes, that’s what hyper-v on deduped ntfs does. The fix is to not do that.

@oxy@social.bsdlab.au last time I was 🤏 close to hyper-v, there was some shared CIFS/NTFS involved to build cluster safe storage. Some sort of hyper-converged infrastructure before Nutanix were in the game. With copy/sync/duplication thing. But I forgot most of it.
