here’s a map from a few weeks ago of Mamdani’s approval ratings. All the wealthy areas have red dissapproval ratings. Something I like to note is the red rectangle just off Central Park is Epstein Alley, the area where the richest assholes own property.

New Yorker here to translate. Manhattan is almsot all green except for a sliver on 5th Avenue near Central Park. That’s the priciest area. Most of the rest of the borough is pretty pricey. even Harlem apartments are getting expensive, now that it’s being gentrified. Most of the red areas aren’t particularly pricey and certainly aren’t considered high class or exclusive. The bright red area all the way at the bottom left is the South Shore of Staten Island. I once met a woman who taught Art History at Staten Island College. She told me that many of her students had never made the trip into Manhattan to visit the Metropolitan Museum, one of the top museums in the world.
