As a person who actually had the choice to do either I will say this: rempte "work" just doesnt work.
I have almost never been productive remotely, even if I get a lot done, it cannot compare to what I do get done in an office setting. Or with my coworkers in the same room.
Its nice to have as a backup for "im sniffly but can work" so that at least something can be pushes down the pipeline.
