@james@mementomori.social I've written the same myself. My conclusion is whether the writing is good or not. It's not about the mechanics, it's about what the reader comes away with.

@knowprose@mastodon.social every time I go down the rabbit hole of "what if readers learn to like *bad* writing?" I realize I'm forgetting the part where they like it, and that's what matters. There's a lot of writing out there that I don't like, and it still makes millions of readers happy.
