It's interesting how folks keep using the DMV as the canonical example of bad service, e.g. https://www.businessinsider.com/neil-gorsuch-supreme-court-navajo-water-rights-americans-dmv-experience-2023-6?op=1 and https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/snowflake-ceo-calls-his-role-insanely-confrontational-and-knocks-leaders-who-sit-back-and-wait-for-greatness/ar-AA1dh8YC . In both NY and OR, I found the DMV moved with more speed and care than most of the corporate customer service I find myself arguing with.... Do we think it's mere intellectual laziness or reflecting a stubborn bias against public servants?
