Whoever is advising the Dems... I would certainly be coordinating and quickly rolling out friendly messengers to make and post videos thanking the long-deployed service members of the USS Lincoln for their extraordinary deployment, to say a few additional words about how a country is measured by how they treat those who make the biggest sacrifices, and saying something like 'We have your back. Especially when those who should, don't.' Past Commanders in Chief. Retired Admirals. Highly decorated vets from past conflicts. Sitting Congresspeople and Senators who served. Veteran groups. Blue Governors who used to serve. Ex-military running for office. Even -- some past GOPers who served and who now are disgusted by what Trump is doing to the armed services. Geez. These videos should have been rolling out as soon as Trump's remarks were public. This is low-hanging campaign fruit fer chrissake. Extend that media cycle. Create a LONG tail for this pressure point on the White House.
