I’m working under the assumption that people around me are going to be hungry, and I’m stocking for that, because I have space and resources. Not like a prepper, really…more like having 50 pounds of rice and beans in mason jars I can give away. I’m stocking things that America doesn’t produce in quantity or at all; green coffee beans, tea, rice, spices. The wheat crop has been terrible here and abroad, flour is going to get expensive, and the knockoff effect will be massive. All of this in a country where billionaires buy yachts for their yachts and 1 in 4 children are hungry and food insecure. There’s gonna be heads on spikes before this is over, if the path flows as currents indicate.
