@niccolove yes, pretty much this. I doubt blender will pivot to anything. They have their strong identity, they will keep going in that direction.

@niccolove I think the only valid concern really is don't count on that being there every year when this bubble finally pops. But otherwise, it's a lot easier to judge a project for taking money with zero strings attached than it is to pony up 240K yourself I guess. 🤷♂️

@niccolove it really feels like fedi isn't a very open-minded place I don't think I've actually seen a serious discussion about any topic that lead anywhere here expect a lot of "oof" and "you can't be serious" and "time to cancel Nicco" replies on your post 💀 AI = bad, anything AI-related is also bad, no place for discussion, fedi's mind is already made up
