OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's trial begins on the 3rd of May this year, for everyone who didn't happen to be online in the couple of hours last January in which this was big news

Bit fucking grim for the mousetrap thread where we all point and laugh at corporations doing ridiculous shit but, like... scratch the paint off a billionaire and find a desperate scared paranoid guy trying to get enough money and power and influence to insulate himself from something really, really fucking horrible he did when he was younger
