It’s very uncommon indeed for the U.K. state to imprison anyone who turns up in court in an expensive suit sadly. I have though, thought for a long time that the USA bleating about not having a monarchy is a hollow boast when they allow their President’s to get away with anything, and frequently anoint their successors who are often relations.
