  • @TechConnectify Loved the original videos, just watched the new ones. It's fun to listen to your tips, and I've made sure to take your advice. I can't find anything other than cascade complete powder in my stores, powder-wise, but it works fine for me thankfully!

@TechConnectify I am too invested in this series, and I am also feeling a strange sort of vibe seeing the same plates that I own in the intro. I’m gonna pretend that the tips are extra relevant for me due to the exact same dishware.

@TechConnectify The water softener mention reminded me I've already managed to convince someone to keep a 25+ year old dishwasher that they complained kept leaving a white plaque over everything so they were tossing it out for a modern one. A dozen or so cycles after I convinced them to start using the salt completely cleared that up so they kept it. So, with harder water. that part is apparently quite useful, indeed.

@TechConnectify Just checked my dishwasher manual and indeed: it mentions I should add some detergent when using a prewash program. Never knew, never done that, will try as soon as I get my hands on dishwasher powder. Thanks!

@TechConnectify I don't think I've ever given you feedback on the original dishwasher video. I basically switched away from tabs/pods and moved to powder. I never had issues with cleanlyness, but using powder is just insanely cheaper and easier to handle

@TechConnectify my local supermarket doesn't even sell powder or gel dishwasher detergent anymore :-( I have occasionally stabbed a pod and let it dribble into the door on the way to the dispenser but I don't know if I'd recommend it. We need dishwasher to have a really sharp blade between the two compartments so they divide the pod when you close the door. I'm sure no one would be afraid of lawsuits if they implemented this on a bit of kit sometimes used by untrained children. 🙄

@TechConnectify as a Midwesterner (Michigan!) who enjoyed your original videos, the only thing I subbed out was going for the powder detergent over liquids because I try not to buy plastic bottles and I try to avoid paying for shipped water (an issue I’ve found in a lot of gel and liquid cleaners) That said, Meijer is the go to for me getting a store brand powder detergent.

@TechConnectify About the secondary video: I discovered that mine has such a turbidity sensor because it opens its door automatically (great feature by the way), sometimes way before the expected time. I was afraid there was some kind of malfunction (although dishes were mostly clean, save for the odd rice grains stuck in forks), so I called the manufacturer to clear that up, and they answered that the device leverages the sensor's data to finish early if there's nothing left to clean.

@TechConnectify I can't believe how I must have watched the original video and forgot about 1/2 of the tips. So today I watched this whole 27 minute video and was very impressed. It was not said in this new video but recently it was in the news that pods are contributing to microplastic particles in the water supply. So for ecological and environmental reasons I will be switching to the powder once again. Highly recommend US folks who use dishwashers take a look at this.

@TechConnectify I love this series of videos so much (and have sent them to so many people) that I was very excited to see a new video pop up in my recommendations. I was telling a friend all about the series when I suddenly felt sad realizing it wasn't new and was just a rehash video. :( But I'm glad you made it so I can send it to even more people.
