    @jorgecandeias@mastodon.social The site also shows "unique users active in the last 7/30/90 days", this is just an additional metric.

    Sites that measure Bluesky activity "from outside" can only read numbers that are visible from outside, i.e. how many likes were seen on the firehose, posts from how many users and so on. A user who logs in but doesn't like or post doesn't leave a trace that's seen to anyone else than Bluesky itself

    And Bluesky generally doesn't publish such internal "how many users logged in" numbers (though from random comments I read from them it seems that it's roughly 2x what we see from outside)
