I don’t think it’s a big deal. DHH is the creator. He has deep pockets.
It’s mostly just Arch with a fork of Hyprland, I believe. Largely keyboard-navigable interface, if you’re into that.
The money will likely benefit Linux as a whole but that remains to be seen.
