  @giflian@techhub.social Good to hear he had a life jacket on: could have easily been a tragedy without one. Great work by the rescuers. As a English Bay dinghy sailor, I have a slight fear of Howe Sound as the winds can pick-up quickly. The race team from my sailing club occasionally goes to Squamish for high wind sailing practice. Anecdotally, it seems wind/weather forecasts have gotten more unreliable lately. Though, I still always check them and the currents before getting on the water.
