@EdwinG@mstdn.moimeme.ca @jerome@jasette.facil.services @stephanie@ottawa.place i’m in Québec City, and the condo values skyrocketed, so i’m might be biased (my condo gained roughly 70% in 11 years). Personally, if the hallway smells bad, especially cigarette smoke, I will be reluctant to invite anyone, especially if that person had Asthma. But for an potential buyer, if the hallways smells bad, for whatever the reason, it’s bad. It’s not inviting, it’s doesn’t make a good impression and doesn’t look like it’s an healthy place to live. That should be reflected in the price. Thats a nuisance. Because it’s affects the hallways (common area), that goes to the responsibility of the condo board. Either it’s a sign of bad ventilation (you don’t want to breath the neighbours cigarettes), either it’s a neighbour who doesn’t care at all of their neighbours. (Any air exchangers?)
