Hitler was consciously imitating Mussolini. I state it here because it explains some of the ersatz thrice-removed feeling which fascism has taken on in this century.
It really is an imitation of an imitation.

Lately I've been reading about homosexuals, Jews and disabled people inside the Third Reich. There were a lot of them. I knew very little about it, and that's no wonder, but it helps make the situation today a little less shocking. The concept of Honorary Aryan is not new.
