I have so many thoughts about the passing of Dolly Parton. I'll share two. 1. If there was every going to be a second coming of Christ, it would have been Dolly Parton. Her memory will forever be a blessing. 2. She was one of the richest people in the country and yet a childhood in poverty could not extend her life past 80, the average age at death for White women in the USA. How much longer would we have had her of we had taken poverty more seriously a century ago?
