@jwz@mastodon.social it’s a vanilla SQLite database under the covers, or was last time I looked. You can go in with a SQLite client and do SQL violence upon it.

@jwz@mastodon.social could be a bug. For me removing the address from the previous recipients (Window -> Previous Recipients in macOS Mail) works fine

@jwz@mastodon.social If it's any consolation, Outlook loves to autocomplete unintended recipients based on *misspellings* of their names even as I am typing the *correct* spelling of the intended recipient. This has caused me to send an e-mail to the wrong person on several occasions.

@jwz@mastodon.social If they have an email address in Contacts, they’re going to be offered. Do this: Use the notes field — put any email addresses there you want, so you don’t lose it. And then delete the “email” entry from the Contact.
