Even worse, yolk sizes are unpredictable, and it’s not like you can open an uncooked egg to check. You had to boil at least a dozen and hope one of them fit.

Fucking amateur…I ordered specially made yolks from Japan. For real gamerz. High precision, high durabilty, less odor. Worth it. Ah kids these days…
