@RobotDiver@starlite.rodeo Far as we know as an amateur onomast specializing in Gaelic names, there's never been an option to drop the gendered markers for any sort of matronymic or patronymic in Gaelic. The only type of last name that isn't gendered is a descriptive, and that's what we tell people who don't want gender in their names.
