I remember getting stuck because you don't have the morph ball yet and therefore bombs which are what I normally use to test invisible walls. I got past one of the shoot shootable walls on my playthrough, checked out every other room, came back and brute forced my way to the next section like most people do games

@metabble7@nicecrew.digital Yeah, they made regular missiles reveal blocks to get around that limitation. I thought it was original to delay the morph ball for so long considering it's usually the first powerup.
