This morning, a journalist and two politicians discussed a viral post calling Stockholm boring because a tourist couldn’t find anywhere to eat at 10pm.
But Swedes simply eat dinner earlier. Isn’t that part of what you travel to experience — that places have different habits?
Sitting in a café on Södermalm, I’m thinking about specialty coffee: the same aesthetics and interiors in Stockholm, Vienna, London, New York.
Do we travel to experience local culture, or just generic metropolitan moods?
