J just returned from a motorcycle ride of 230 miles round trip in this heat. I cannot imagine. But, here's the cool part: the ladies she rode with decided to stop at a speakeasy. Did Y'all know those were coming back? It's kind of cool. You start in a T-shirt shop, and if you know the password, you are led to the secret entrance to the speakeasy. From inside the bar, you can see, via a two way mirror, all the people who are wandering around the T-shirt shop. There's also a rooftop restaurant. I think it's such a cool concept, bringing back those prohibition era cool clubs.

@kimlockhartga@beige.party "safe house" in milwaukee did this (at least last century). favorite haunt during college. if you didn't know the password, they'd make you do silly stuff, like bunny hopping around the entrance, all the while the folks in the bar got to watch it on TV. they also had magicians, trains to deliver drinks, etc. i like bars with some kind of amusement theme.
