This is just so well phrased. If you think about it, so many presidents were so much smarter than the average voter, at least Democratic presidents. Clinton was a Rhodes scholar. Obama was selected as an editor for the Harvard Law Review at the end of his first year and president of it in his second year. Carter was a nuclear engineer in the 1950s when nuclear engineering was a brand new discipline. Most of them have to learn to seem like a regular guy, and not seem so smart. Meanwhile, Trump’s out there trying to look smart. I just wonder how stupid you have to be to think that Trump is smart. Surely he has to be below the average intelligence of the nation. There must be a lot of MAGA Republicans who secretly know just how dumb he is.
