It’s official. The attack on our cultural reach, including in French, and trying to limit our international trading partnerships, was a direct attack on Canada 🇨🇦 as a sovereign country.
We will not be the 51st state. Never.
Not even Alberta.
The USA is a hostile country.
Americans: this is on you. All of you. Fix it. Canada will make your life exactly as difficult as ours is, because of your President. Our leaders are now seriously talking about taxing or limiting energy exports to your country as we pivot to the welcoming embrace of the rest of the world.
Only you can fix this.

@chris@mstdn.chrisalemany.ca no. No. Taxing our exports is silly. Unfortunately, the systems (pipelines, transmission grids, bridges) involved are old and due to lack of investment, appartently tend to break randomly, requiring multiple weeks of repairs.
