I've been organizing a large annual community event now for 6 or 7 years & while it's a ridiculous amount of work & it pretty much consumes a large chunk of my summer, I also feel like it's a major thing I can do for our community's cohesion & health. It's an agricultural fair that was originally chartered before the American Revolution, so it has a lot of history, too. 1/
