Krita means crayon in Swedish. Also "Rita" means to draw, so the name is well fitting for us.

[And that's exactly why it's called Krita](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krita#Name). Also it was previously called 'Krayon', so they just kind of kept the name.
