Just a short wrapup post to make sense of what we just witnessed on #monsterdon. Thanks to @Taweret@timeloop.cafe for hosting the best little watch-party in Fedi, @JoeWynne@mstdn.plus for the caffeine based cocktail this week, I needed that! @LuciaG@wandering.shop for picking up the BINGO and running with it and @miru@social.miyaku.media for providing the backup stream and double feature, which saved me this week! We saw so much worth mentioning: - Sci-fi from when extruded aluminum decor reigned supreme - from when your spaceship and your conversation pit were one and the same - from when sexy-standing in front of a tape drive with a clipboard was a job description - from when you could paint your spaceship halloween-orange and no-one would laugh at you - from when you could just up and mock people for using the word "Laser" - from when you could borrow cave sets from a much better sci-fi franchise filming next door Also we got a film about mars that probably influenced a lot more sci-fi than I'm comfortable admitting
