the amount of friends one loses because of chronic illness is astonishing. somehow people do get really upset when you can't text back for a couple of days. or be there for them emotionally for a bit. or visit them irl. especially when your illness is flares up randomly, i have seen so many able bodied people demand explanations in advance or to be kept updated with such entitlement it's genuinely wild to me.
