The anti-trans ads work both ways. Of course they’ll work. All they need to do is add a small lead to their baseline turnout(*) and they’ll win it. Source: watching this tactic work every election for decades. * or cut turnout from their opponent. same thing.

    This is the group that famously used push polls against McCain having an illegitimate black love child. That had “Bush’s brain” put anti-gay marriage initiatives in battleground states to turn out cons for voting against gay marriage, etc. The cons don’t get their base to vote for them based on logic. It’s all vibes and fear of the other. This time around it’s trans.

    If you look at voting rates, it’s not the GOP that decides elections, it’s the Democrats. GOP almost always gets ~63m votes. Democrats range 63+/-5m. That’s why the both sides rhetoric steps up around election season. Republicans will vote consistently, and they win if a couple Democrats stay home.
